As you may be aware, RMI has created a Maryland Made to Save Lives directory (view it here) that lists Maryland manufacturing companies that make components, technologies, materials and products needed to fight COVID-19. Now, we have created an online directory of RMI member companies and organizations providing critical resources for manufacturers as they enter the recovery period in the next few months and look to ramp up their operations.
The directory will provide valuable assistance to our State’s manufacturers as they navigate through and recover from this devastating and unprecedented pandemic. Once we have companies and organizations in the database, we will begin an email and social media marketing campaign to make manufacturers aware of these valuable resources.
What kinds of companies/organizations should be in this new directory? Here are a few examples.
- Financial institutions providing access to capital needed by manufacturers
- Human resource, staffing experts to help address company workforce issues
- Companies proving equipment, transportation, repair and other direct support to manufacturers
- Cyber security firms providing analysis of company exposures with employees working from home
- Insurance companies providing risk management services to identify company exposures and vulnerabilities
- Accounting firms helping manufacturers navigate and apply for available federal, state and local COVID-19 support programs
- Marketing firms providing digital marketing services for manufacturers or marketing materials needed to promote COVID-19 safety procedures for employees
- Business consultants providing guidance or programs for manufacturers and their employees to weather this COVID-19 “storm”
- Energy contractors providing cost savings services for manufacturers
- Small business and workforce related federal, state and local agencies offering programs and assistance with funding and workforce needs
