Providing Funding, Training and Educational Programs to Address Supply Chain Issues for Maryland Manufacturers
.
MD MEP has partnered with Governor Larry Hogan and his team at the Maryland Department of Commerce on the Maryland Supply Chain Resiliency Program, a new initiative aimed at helping manufacturers build, expand and strengthen their supply chains.
.
The Maryland Supply Chain Resiliency Program, administered by MD MEP, provides opportunities for Maryland manufacturers to learn and share best practices to improve their supply chains, help manage risk through the current supply chain crisis, improve outcomes, and pursue new opportunities. Additionally, it will help manufacturers connect and communicate with local suppliers, customers, and partners. Grants will be available for technical assistance to manufacturers that have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as those whose workforce or supply chain was disrupted.
.
Eligibility and Application Guidelines. The program will provide up to $12,000 in funding to qualifying manufacturers that have at least 10 employees and $1 million in annual revenues and demonstrate that one or more of their business operations have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. Once an application is received, a business assessment and review of the company’s business practices will be conducted to better understand the impacts on the business. This will enable the assessment team to identify potential growth strategies, identify resources and award assistance.
.
Applications for the program are now being accepted at mdmep.org/md-scrp/.
