Programs to be discussed:

  • EARN:  Through the EARN Maryland grant, Maryland MEP may be able to help your organization apply for and access funding to assist with the cost of training. Addressing this topic will be Mike Kelleher, Executive Director, Maryland MEP.
  • Maryland Business Works, a Maryland Department of Labor program that reimburses 50% of training costs. Training can include classroom-based training, in-house staff training, apprenticeships, and other opportunities for Maryland’s businesses as they create and foster their talent pipeline that lead to industry recognized credentials. Addressing this topic will be Angella Moon, Business Services Program Lead, Maryland Department of Labor.
  • PWQ (Partnership for Workforce Quality), a program that provides matching training grants and support services targeted to improve the competitive position of small and mid-sized manufacturing and technology companies. Grants are used to increase the skills of existing workers for new technologies and production processes, improve employee productivity and increase employment stability. Addressing this topic will be Darla Garrett, Director Finance Programs Accounting & Administration, Maryland Department of Commerce.
