by RMI RMI

RMI recently received a $3 million grant from the Maryland Public Service Commission, in partnership with the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA), to help target energy efficiency opportunities with Maryland manufacturers.

The grant was awarded to RMI based on our recently completed energy efficiency project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, where we worked with a group of six Maryland manufacturers including General Motors, MarquipWardUnited, Acadia Windows & Doors, Green Bay Packaging, Lion Brothers and Kirk Habicht Company, helping to collectively save them more than $200,000 on their energy bills in less than one year.

RMI is now recruiting a new group of six manufacturers to benefit from RMI’s approach. If you are one of the of six firms that meet RMI’s qualifications criteria (details available here), your firm will receive – at almost no cost to you – individual subsidized energy consulting services, group peer sessions sharing best practices and employee self directed green team training. We will also identify tax rebates, incentives and loans that can make your energy investments fit your budget requirements. Bottom line, by participating, you can potentially save between 15-25 percent on your energy spend.
