Tom Atkinson is Vice President and General Manager of Avail Enclosures Systems, overseeing their three North American manufacturing facilities. Prior to this role, he was General Manager at Avail Enclosure Systems in Millington.

Tom joined Millington’s enclosures team over a decade ago, connecting with the organization's rich history of quality craft and a customer-focused "get it done" attitude. He values the family environment fostered by the original owners, where employees care deeply about each other and customer satisfaction. This environment shaped his own leadership approach: " Relationships with people are the key to success. Find ways to support and relate to them, and they will follow you into the darkest cave."

Tom and his Millington team have partnered with Queen Anne's and Kent County economic development to foster employee growth in both counties, including a current expansion to add up to 60 employees in Kent County. He’s also partnered with Chesapeake College's Advanced Manufacturing Team and Program Advisory Committee, providing guidance and mentorship to program participants.
