Robert Jirsa, during his time as a partner at RSM, played a key role in supporting the manufacturing community by providing financial, audit, and advisory services tailored to the specific needs of manufacturing firms. His expertise helped companies navigate complex financial regulations, improve operational efficiency, and enhance profitability. By offering insights into tax strategies, risk management, and business growth opportunities, Jirsa's work supported manufacturers in optimizing their financial health and long-term sustainability. He led RSM’s Mid-Atlantic Region Manufacturing Practice and was a member of the National Manufacturing Leadership Team. He collaborated with the National Association of Manufacturers and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to develop their annual Manufacturing Industry Training Programs.

In addition to his professional contributions at RSM, Jirsa serves as a Board member of the Maryland World Class Consortia (MWCC). He was also the co-creator of MWCC’s Lean Peer Groups, a program designed to bring together business leaders to share best practices and drive operational improvements using Lean principles. His leadership in establishing this program has provided Maryland manufacturers with a valuable platform for collaboration and continuous improvement, helping them to enhance their competitiveness. He continues to serve on corporate boards of directors for a number of companies based in Maryland.
