You can count on Luke Chow, president and CEO of Prime Manufacturing Technologies, to always be engaged in activities supporting Maryland manufacturing. He shows up to manufacturing events where he stands up and speaks out for manufacturing growth and a stronger Maryland manufacturing economy. Luke is always promoting manufacturing and offering great ideas to improve manufacturing. He is a long serving board member of the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland (RMI), a member of the MBDA Mid-Atlantics Advanced Manufacturing Center Baltimore, Maryland Manufacturing Advisory Board Maryland Manufacturing Advisory Board, Manufacturing advisory boards at the Community College of Baltimore County, Anne Arundel Community College, and Howard Community College. Luke Chow is a STAR who always shines a light on the need to “Make Maryland Manufacturing a Priority.”

After a successful career in corporate America, he moved from Pennsylvania to Maryland in 1991, where he started Prime Manufacturing Technologies. He focused the young company on plastic injection molding, composites, and CNC machining, emphasizing lean and agile manufacturing processes. During his 32 years of incomparable leadership, Prime has earned a reputation for quality and attention to detail.

Advance technology driven, rapid tooling and an early adopter of 3D printing expanded Prime’s technology skillset, keeping the company on the cutting edge of manufacturing. Adding to Prime’s innovative capabilities is the ability to injection mold stainless steel parts – high-volume process typically for molding plastic parts. Combining technologies with generative design, Prime assists in light weighting of parts.
