An extraordinary public servant, Eric Coffman, Division Director of Energy Programs, Maryland Energy Administration (MEA), partnered with the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland (RMI) and Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD-MEP) to connect the many resources of MEA to manufacturers across Maryland. Under Eric’s leadership, his motivated and knowledgeable team at MEA worked with RMI and MD-MEP teams to achieve significant energy savings, increased decarbonization efforts and the adoption of renewable resources. “Eric Coffman is a committed, hardworking public servant who excels at bringing people together to achieve significant results. He is a role model for others in government.”, said Dr. Mike Galiazzo, President of the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland (RMI). Eric has enormous knowledge of environmental management and a proven record of remarkable results. Eric Coffman is a STAR whose leadership in prioritizing manufacturing has led to significant measurable results that have positively impacted our environment. Hundreds of manufacturing companies in Maryland have benefited from MEA’s partnership with the manufacturing community.
Before his role at MEA, Eric served as Chief of Energy and Sustainability - Department of General Services, Montgomery County Government. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State University.
