As an advocate for innovative practices and sustainable growth, Claudia has made meaningful contributions to Maryland’s manufacturing industry. “Lavender is not only the number one aromatherapy essential oil but also has a growing body of medical research supporting its use for mental health, highlighting its calming properties and benefits for anxiety and stress relief,” she says. “By promoting these uses, we can enhance both the economic and emotional well-being of our communities.”

Her commitment to quality, and that of her industry colleagues, extends into the manufacturing process for creation of a range of lavender-infused products, from culinary delights to aromatic wellness items. “By emphasizing the versatility of lavender, we aim to inspire others to incorporate this fragrant herb into their daily lives,” she says.

As a member of the United States Lavender Growers Association (USLGA), Claudia actively collaborates with fellow lavender growers and value-added manufacturers to share insights and best practices. She participates in industry events and workshops, focusing on lavender cultivation, its myriad culinary uses, and the benefits of value-added products. Her goal is to promote sustainable practices in agriculture while elevating the profile of the lavender industry.
