With over 40 years of experience, Carl Livesay is a prominent figure in the manufacturing sector. Currently, he serves as the General Manager of Mercury Plastics Inc., a company specializing in custom thermoforming for various industries, including aerospace, defense, electronics, and medical. Throughout his career, Carl has been a passionate advocate for Lean manufacturing and operational excellence, applying these principles to drive efficiency and competitiveness.

In addition to his role at Mercury Plastics, Carl serves on several boards and advisory committees, reflecting his deep commitment to the manufacturing community. He is currently the treasurer for the Maryland World Class Consortia (MWCC), where he helps guide organizations in implementing world-class manufacturing practices. Carl’s influence extends to his appointments by both state and national bodies. For eight years, he served on Maryland’s Governor's Workforce Development Board as an advisor to the Secretary of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, and for more than 16 years now, he has been serving as a member of the Maryland District Export Council, appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.
