Emad Mohamed joined Crystal Steel Fabricators in 2006 as director of project management. His outstanding leadership was instrumental in purchasing the company’s flagship facility at Federalsburg, Maryland in Caroline County, transforming it from an empty shell to a state-of-the-art fabrication facility. He oversaw the purchase of all equipment, facility layout, and hiring 100 skilled craftsmen, foremen, plant managers, and quality control staff. Today, the facility is among the very few fabricators of the Mid-Atlantic U.S. that can handle the fabrication of offshore wind based on ISO quality management system and European Standards, with highly sophisticated paint and blast booth equipment.

Emad's success and unwavering dedication to Crystal Steel did not stop there. In 2022, he added DeckCo, a metal corrugation decking company that rolls roof and floor decks, to Crystal Steel's five locations. This move made Crystal Steel the first fabricator in US history to combine the fabrication of structural steel and metal deck. Emad was promoted to Crystal Steel President early this year and currently manages four facilities for Crystal Steel, employing over 350 people.
