Samuel Glewwe (Sam) is a Maryland Star because he leads by example every day as a continuous improvement coach.  In his 7 years at Intralox, he has made an enormous impact on productivity in the manufacturing platform. He is gifted with ability to continuously learn and apply the methods and knowledge into practice. His expertise in Lean methods has enabled Intralox to take an extensive step in the implementation of “practical problem solving” and “Lean manufacturing”.

In 2020, he was promoted to a production lead position to a run multi-million-dollar program through his assembly line. He and his team executed the program efficiently and witnessed the power of Lean manufacturing. With more success, he was promoted to the Process Improvement Specialist role in an engineering team. In his current role, Sam engages with the suppliers and improves the process focuses in bringing the “win-win-win” situations for the customers, for Intralox, and for the employees.

He’s also eager to learn more and spread his learnings throughout the manufacturing audience. Recently, he has been actively connecting with the local manufacturers through the Lean Peer Group organized by Maryland World Class Consortia (MWCC).

Samuel Glewwe (Sam) is a shining example of strong character and selflessness. Without doubt, Sam merits recognition as a Maryland Star.
