The Maryland World Class Consortia (MWCC) is excited to recognize Dave Rizzardo for his outstanding contributions to Maryland's manufacturing sector and the continuous improvement community! Since 2014, Dave has served as the Associate Director for the Maryland World Class Consortia (MWCC), where his leadership has been instrumental in advancing Lean practices across Maryland.

Dave’s journey began in 1999 with Mtech at the University of Maryland’s Baltimore office. As the Lean Services Manager for over 15 years, he specialized in developing and delivering Lean training and implementation services, supporting a wide range of organizations. In 2012, Dave co-developed the Lean Peer Group program, focusing on helping businesses foster a Lean culture of continuous improvement.

In 2014, Dave brought his expertise to the MWCC, where he continues to guide organizations on their Lean journeys, facilitating the Lean Peer Groups and leading our Lean plant tours. In addition, Dave has shared his knowledge as an adjunct faculty member at the Community College of Baltimore County, teaching both introductory and advanced Lean courses.
