On January 27, 2013, NextLine Manufacturing – a leading provider of advanced manufacturing services ranging from additive manufacturing to cnc machining – announced the official launch of its Maryland operations.

The Gaithersburg, Md., company, led by a team with decades of advanced manufacturing expertise, offers its customers the ability to prototype and manufacturer highly complex and customizable parts using the ideal cost and performance solutions available. NextLine’s proprietary computing technology, XPress Flow™, plays a critical role in that optimization.   NextLine’s manufacturing services include: Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), PolyJet 3D Printing, CNC Machining and Injection Molding.

NextLine also announced the addition of Dr. John Deutch to its board of directors.  Dr. Deutch has held major government, academic and business posts throughout his career. As Director of Central Intelligence in the mid-1990s, Dr. Deutch led the Intelligence Community and directed the Central Intelligence Agency.  Prior to being the DCI, Dr. Deutch was Deputy Secretary of Defense and Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisitions and Technology.  He was also the Director of Energy Research, Acting Assistant Secretary for Energy Technology and Under Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy.  He has served as director for the following publicly held companies: American Natural Resources Group, Citigroup, CMS Energy, Cummins Engine, Perkin-Elmer, Raytheon, SAIC, Schlumberger and Cheniere Energy.
